Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
* Overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
* Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and food production to ensure quality and consistency.
* Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking methods, food handling, and safety procedures.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
* Help create an innovative culinary experience that reflects the restaurant's vision and values.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant setting is essential.
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising and training kitchen staff.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is highly desirable.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
