Job Description
We are seeking a Project Director to join T&T’s new PMC team in London. In this role you will support the delivery of high‑quality projects for our clients from inception to completion and contribute to business growth by fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. The successful candidate will lead large, complex construction projects, managing a large team of construction professionals on time, within budget, and meeting Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain excellent working relationships with client teams, designers, consultants, sub‑contractors and third‑party stakeholders.
* Maintain the company’s reputation for a collaborative approach, delivering safely on time, within budget, and with a defect‑free finish.
* Manage the project’s operational aspects to minimise risks and maximise opportunities.
* Develop and maintain a robust construction programme, updating as necessary to reflect all project constraints.
* Ensure the procurement schedule is produced and aligned to the construction programme.
* Oversee the appointment of all sub‑contractors and suppliers.
* Prepare and manage the construction‑phase health and safety plan.
* Lead on Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental matters, ensuring best practice and compliance with current legislation, working closely with the HSQ&E team.
* Organise the team structure to optimise resource efficiency.
* Work closely with the commercial team to ensure the project is delivered within the approved cost plan.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Project Director with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor.
* Consistent high achievement of end‑to‑end construction delivery, taking projects from inception to completion on large schemes (£100m‑£500m).
* Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of construction procedures.
* MCIOB membership and a degree in a related subject.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of building legislation and Health and Safety legislation.
* Commercial and contractual awareness.
