Social Worker - Community Long Term Team
All about the Role
The Adult Social Worker teams at Peterborough City Council support all adults, including those living with physical disabilities, older adults, people with sensory impairments, or a learning disability.
The Adult Team’s work operates within the parameters of The Care Act 2014 eligibility. When an adult is identified as needing additional care, housing, or a supported living placement, they play a vital role in ensuring they can live fulfilling lives within those eligible needs.
As part of these teams, you will ensure the correct funding stream is in place for those in your care, using Continuing Healthcare Checklist protocols and signposting people to natural support areas, guided by the Peterborough Information Network.
If you have flexible working requests, such as early starts/finishes, 9-day fortnights, or compressed hours, these can be discussed with your manager.
The team has a full-time role available. Given it’s a city authority, you won’t need to travel far but must have means of transport to attend appointments within the local area.
