Role Description
We invite you to express interest in future opportunities for an Associate Technical Director to help develop our Water & Wastewater Civils team in the UK. The role involves leading Civil Engineering teams across a variety of projects and programmes, providing dynamic professional technical leadership to meet client expectations.
Role Accountabilities
* Technically lead and coordinate complex multi-disciplined wastewater or water treatment/infrastructure projects and programmes throughout the design life cycle.
* Collaborate with key clients, partner organisations, and the supply chain to maintain Arcadis’ reputation for high quality, innovative design and a positive client experience.
* Build and sustain adequate resources for the delivery of the project or programme, and support strategic recruitment needs.
* Provide line management, career direction, and pastoral care to team members, actively developing them to their full potential.
* Promote a culture that is proactive on Safety, Health, Quality and Sustainability matters.
* Champion innovation, helping to develop engineering technology and continuous improvement systems.
* Work with the Framework Design Manager and Project Manager team to manage the programme, ensure commercial rigour, deliver profitable outputs, and resolve project issues efficiently.
* Perform other duties as required by the Client Manager or Arcadis Senior Leadership Team.
* Work with other Arcadis teams to foster collaboration, ensuring collective knowledge and experience are shared.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Civil Engineering or a directly related discipline.
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as ICE or CIWEM.
* Extensive water industry experience working on complex design and delivery frameworks and/or design and build projects.
* Accountability and leadership in solving SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality) issues.
* Excellent people management skills, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
* Experience in contract, commercial, project, and programme management.
* Digital curiosity and/or proficiency.
* Excellent communicator at all levels, working effectively across organisations and disciplines.
* Demonstrated experience building and sustaining successful teams.
* Exhibits behaviours consistent with Arcadis vision and values.
