This role is full-time, on-site at 40 hours per week. You must be available to work occasional Saturdays on a rota-basis. Overall Purpose The Maintenance Assistant will be working as part of the wider Maintenance team to ensure that the 821 homes within New Maker Yards are in good, operating condition at all times. The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for resolving maintenance issues in a timely manner, contributing to the wider resident experience at Get Living. Key Relationships Internal: Neighbourhood Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and wider New Maker Yards team External: Residents, customers, third party suppliers and contractors Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Work with the full-time Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Team Leader and liaise with technicians and contractors. To carry out any necessary repairs and maintenance to ensure the homes are presented to the highest possible standard when turning them around between tenancies. Snagging. Painting and decorating. General ad hoc reactive works within occupied apartments. General estate duties. Qualifications & Experience Experience of working in a Maintenance role - essential. Experience working in a real estate/build to rent environment - desirable. Key Skills & Competencies High level of attention to detail Great people and communication skills to interact with residents. Numeracy skills to work out surface areas and quantities.
