A Senior/Principal Engineer is required to lead control system modelling and analysis, working within a multidisciplinary team to design, evaluate, and integrate flight and ground control systems.
The role involves developing and validating high-fidelity aircraft models, analysing dynamic behaviour and performance, and supporting real-time integration and SIL/HIL testing. You will also lead verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with performance, safety, and certification requirements.
Candidates should have 8+ years of experience in control systems, with strong expertise in control theory, flight dynamics, and dynamic stability, ideally within an aerospace environment.
What you’ll do:
* Lead development of high-fidelity aircraft models and simulation environments to analyse performance and dynamics
* Plan and execute verification and validation activities for models and control systems
* Support design, tuning, and evaluation of flight and ground control systems
* Collaborate on SIL/HIL testing and real-time system integration
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship in control systems and simulation
What you’ll bring:
* Senior or Principal in flight dynamics and control systems (aerospace preferred)
* Strong expertise in modelling tools and control theory
* Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
* Solid background in non-linear dynamics and robust control design
* Proactive, adaptable, and improvement-driven mindset
* UK national eligible for SC Clearance
