About the role:
* £13.91 per hour
* Location: Portadown
* Hours of Work: 37 hrs per week, Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm (may be required to provide an emergency call out service, at nights and weekends, on a rota basis)
* Holidays: 35 days pro rata
* Duration: Temporary, ongoing

What you'll be doing in this role:
* Undertaking all welding work associated with the maintenance and refurbishment of Housing Executive stock/buildings
* Completing tasks outside of trade where required for operational purposes
* Providing quality customer service and maintaining good customer relationships on behalf of the NIHE
* Ensuring the health and safety of tenants, especially vulnerable tenants, when undertaking work in occupied properties
* Liaising with customers to arrange appointments, access, discuss work required, etc.
* Ensuring accurate and timely completion of all job information by both paperwork and electronic means (including PDAs and mobile devices) and passing this on to the supervisor within agreed time-scales
* Handling, operating, and safeguarding tools, equipment, vehicles, or appliances in the course of duties
What you'll need for this role:
* Successfully completed an apprenticeship in Welding (either time served or skills based)
* Minimum of one year's relevant post-apprenticeship experience working in a Welding environment
* Practical knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety requirements and legislation in a maintenance/repair environment
* Flexibility to provide an emergency call out service on evenings and weekends on a rota basis
* Willingness to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure as part of the vetting process. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a barrier to employment.
