Churchillfield Recruitment is currently seeking two experienced Groundworkers for a long-term residential project based in Worthing .
The client is a highly respected regional contractor known for their strong presence across West Sussex. This isn't just a short-term "fill" role; it provides a consistent run of work for a minimum of four months, offering excellent stability through the spring season.
The Role Working as part of an established and professional gang, you will be responsible for a variety of groundwork and civil engineering tasks. We are looking for reliable "all-rounders" who are happy to muck in to get the job done. While the core of the role is ground-based, any candidate holding a valid machine ticket will be at a distinct advantage on this site.
Key Responsibilities Drainage & Utilities: Pipelaying, service ducting, and the installation of attenuation systems.
External Works: Precision kerbing, slabbing, and various finishing duties.
Structural Support: Assisting with concreting and basic steel fixing when required.
Plant Operation: Operating a Forward Tipping Dumper (for those with a valid ticket).
Compliance: Working to strict health and safety standards at all times.
Requirements Certifications: A valid CSCS Card (Green or Blue) is essential.
Plant Tickets: A CPCS or NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper ticket is highly preferred.
Experience: Proven track record in groundworks, specifically in drainage, kerbing, and external finishing.
Reliability: You must have your own transport to ensure consistent attendance.
Attitude: A hard-working approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
