Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Specialist Autism School - Maidenhead Banding: Band 6 Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire Start: ASAP Duration: Permanent Rate: £40,000 – £48,000 per annum (depending on experience) Working hours: Full-time We are seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our client’s team at a specialist autism school in Maidenhead. The school supports 130 pupils aged 4–16 with complex needs associated with Autism Spectrum Disorders and uses ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) therapies to deliver innovative, evidence-based education. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Art Therapists, all aligned with the school’s ethos and teaching practices. Key Responsibilities • Manage your own clinical caseload within the school setting • Provide both 1:1 and group therapy sessions for pupils • Participate in pupil referrals and contribute to therapy service development • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions to support pupils’ functional and sensory needs • Advise families and teaching staff on strategies to support pupils’ development • Champion continuous professional development and service improvement • Collaborate with the wider therapy and teaching teams to achieve the best outcomes for pupils Qualifications and Experience: • HCPC registration (essential) • NHS experience is essential • Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy • Strong leadership skills and experience in operational management within therapies • Extensive experience working with autism, complex needs, and non-verbal pupils • Understanding of or willingness to learn ABA principles (training provided) • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to mentor, coach, and inspire others Benefits: • Excellent continued learning and development opportunities • Health and wellbeing programme • Competitive salary based on experience • Supportive and inclusive working environment Why work with Pulse?
