We’re looking for a compassionate Senior Care Worker to support our dedicated care team and provide the very best care to the people who live with us. You’ll be someone who leads by example, handles challenges with grace, and helps make every shift feel calm, organised, and kind.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading and supporting a team of care workers during your shift
* Planning rotas and allocating tasks to ensure the best care is delivered
* Overseeing care plans and medication processes
* Providing hands-on support to residents when needed
* Covering for the Service Manager or Deputy when they’re off shift
* Supervising and mentoring staff, including appraisals and training
* Auditing care quality and contributing to service improvements
* Occasionally undertaking sleepovers as part of your rota
What You’ll Bring
* SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare (or equivalent)
* Experience in a care setting and confident in leading others
* Calm, clear communication and decision-making skills
* Basic computer literacy for updating care plans and records
* Willingness to complete PDA qualifications and SVQ Level 4
* Availability to work evenings and weekends as part of a rota

As we do our work in Christ’s name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.
This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
