Software Test Engineer – Build, Test & Deliver Next‑Gen Maritime Systems

What You’ll Do
* Build, test, and verify software to support the company’s product range.
* Produce and maintain software build and test specifications.
* Act as a technical liaison both within the organization and with external partners, customers, and collaborators.
* Improve software testability and streamline build/test processes.
* Support wider engineering and project activities as required.
* Participate in on‑site testing and sea trials in the UK and abroad.
What You’ll Bring
* A strong technical background and understanding of the software engineering lifecycle, especially in test and integration.
* Good communication and teamwork skills, with confidence to liaise across technical and non‑technical teams.
* Familiarity with scripting or programming languages for test automation or build scripting.
* A proactive, detail‑oriented approach with a passion for quality and improvement.
Experience That Helps You Stand Out
* Minimum 1 year’s experience testing software for Windows‑based systems.
* Experience writing test plans, test specifications, and reports.
* Exposure to software build processes and installer creation (desirable).
* Previous experience in a technical or engineering environment (preferred).
* A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
