The Data Quality and Access to Health Records Team supports the provision of an efficient and effective Data Assurance service at Harrogate & District NHS Foundation Trust. This includes supporting the delivery of the 'right of access' under the Data Protection Act 2018 and providing assurance that data reported and stored by the Trust is up to date and accurate.
The Health Records Library team provides a casenote library and archive service to the acute clinical services of the Trust. This involves retrieving and filing casenotes in numerical order, scanning casenotes, and reviewing casenotes that have met their minimum retention period. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following duties:
1. Process Access to Health Records requests in line with relevant data protection legislation.
2. Reproduce health records by printing from various patient systems and photocopying to meet deadlines.
3. Communicate effectively and confidently with colleagues, members of the public, solicitors, and the police.
4. Update patient demographics on the acute patient administration system accurately and promptly.
5. Maintain an efficient filing system using the numerical reference.
6. Locate and retrieve casenotes from the bulk storage archive using appropriate aids (e.g., trollies, cages, step stools, safety steps).
7. Track casenotes using the electronic tracking system.
8. Scan patient record documentation to an Electronic Document Management System.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, conscientious, and self-motivated individual to join our busy Health Records Library and Data Quality teams. The successful candidate will develop a broad skillset and knowledge base to work flexibly across both teams based on service needs.
