Leaving Care 14 +Plus Team - Social Worker

This role is to cover avacancy in a very stable, well-bonded team. The Fourteen Plus Team supports young people aged 14 and over who are looked after by the Local Authority, young people who are homeless aged between 16 and 18 years, and all care leavers up to the age of 25 years. The Team’s commitment to engagement is promoting the increasing involvement of young people not only in their own lives but in improving services for others. This team is made up of a team manager, a practitioner manager, 4.5 FTE social workers, 3 Social Care Officers, 4 Young Person Advisors and a business support assistant. We have strong relationships with partners to ensure we offer the best support to our young people to achieve independence.
We are looking for an experienced Social Worker in this area to work directly with children, young people and their families / carers covering all aspects of the work (pathway planning, court work etc)
Workers will need to be available to work from Barry and cover all visits in the Vale of Glamorgan and beyond. They must be registered with Social Care Wales.
This position is to start immediately and for approximately 6 month period. Pay rate for this role is in line with the ADSS pledge: £30.50 PAYE or £38.43 Umbrella.

Requirements
* A relevant Social Work Qualification
* Registration with Social Care Wales
* Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
* 3 Years of referencing
* Driving license with access to a car
