Tetra Techs is responsible for Cost Consultancy on some of the most strategically important projects in the UK. We provide our clients with high quality cost advice on the capital and whole life cost of their buildings with an increasing focus on carbon reduction. Due to our continued success in securing major projects nationwide we have identified a need for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team. Based in our Birmingham team, you will become an important part of a high-performance multi-disciplinary team utilising the latest technology to deliver cost advice to design colleagues and our clients. There are opportunities to work within the Infrastructure, Commercial, Residential and Government Property sectors. The Role You will work closely with other TT regional offices,forging strong working relationships internally and externally with our clients, becoming part of their integrated project teams.Youll be involved in a large portfolio of exciting development opportunities ranging from private to public sector, small scale to in excess of£100m ,from feasibility and assessment stage through to completion. Development of cost plans forcomplex projects utilising Cost X estimating software Advising clients / design teams on the cost implications of alternative design options Monthly reporting on cost movement to the Client Engagement in Value Engineering and risk workshops and providing strategic cost advice to both Advising on and supporting procurement of contractors Negotiate with contractors on behalf of our clients Delivering the full range of construction stage contract administration and cost management services Building relationships with Clients and other key stakeholders About you Full membership of a recognised professional body or working towards full membership (eg RICS) Have sound knowledge and proven experience in guiding and developing quantity surveying and employer's agent best practice and innovation Able to deliver a contemporary quantity surveying and employer's agent service focused on client satisfaction and a thorough understanding of construction contracts Able to provide an efficient, collaborative, well governed service using modern management techniques to deliver our projects successfully Experience working independently on projects with a demonstrable track record of a high standard of technical delivery Looking to develop internal and external management skills Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build strong working relationships at all levels A strategic thinker, able to convey ideas both verbally and in report form to clients, external stakeholders and the design team Able to adapt strategies in line with changing priorities Have SC clearance or be able to obtain clearance About Tetra Tech Tetra Tech is a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide.
