As a Qualified Social Worker in this role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and reviews under the DoLS framework, ensuring compliance with legal requirements while advocating for the best interests of service users. Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the necessity of DoLS applications.
* Collaborating with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to develop tailored care plans.
* Providing expert advice and support to staff and families regarding the DoLS process.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with relevant legislation.
* Participating in supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance your practice.
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
* A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
* Registration with Social Work England.
* Proven experience in social work, particularly in community settings and DoLS.
* Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Mental Capacity Act.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
