Lecturer in Family Therapy and Systemic Practice
Are you an experienced and inspiring Family Therapist with highly developed teaching skills who is passionate about training Family Therapists/Systemic Psychotherapists? Are you interested in joining an established team to develop systemic training that will inspire students to positively impact the future health and social care workforce?
The Leeds Institute of Health Sciences is seeking a part-time Lecturer and trainer in Family Therapy and Systemic Practice. The successful candidate will join an established team, contributing to teaching, supervision, and the development of the family therapy programmes at Foundation, Intermediate, and MSc levels. The role includes leading our Foundation level courses. Contributions to research in Family Therapy are welcome.
Applicants should be qualified Family Therapists eligible for registration with the UKCP as a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist. Candidates should have substantial clinical experience with families in NHS, social care, private, or voluntary sectors and have postgraduate or agency-based systemic teaching experience. An AFT registered supervisor qualification is advantageous. The role is primarily teaching-focused, but maintaining clinical practice as a Family Therapist is required throughout the appointment.
Salary: Grade 8. A market supplement may be applicable and will be discussed at appointment. The position is fixed-term for one year, with consideration for secondments. Job sharing and flexible working are welcomed.
Applicants must be able to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
