William Hunter House is an abstinence-based supported resettlement accommodation for 37 males and females. We provide effective person-centred support on the maintenance of life skills, mental health, addiction, social inclusion, employability, and to achieve a better quality of life for homeless adults within the Glasgow Area. We are looking to recruit a Relief Support Worker to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
As a motivated and dynamic Support Worker, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality programme of person-centred support that promotes client choice and control. You will ensure that everything you do is underpinned by our core values, demonstrated within our daily practice, and measured against our priorities of Transformation, Integration, Discipleship, and Effectiveness.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
* Knowledge of the benefits system and an understanding of supported housing funding streams and reporting requirements.
* Knowledge of the main support needs faced by homeless and vulnerable clients.
* Understanding legislation related to Health and Safety and safeguarding of clients and staff.
* Ensuring successful client outcomes that demonstrate quality and effectiveness in all aspects of the programme.
