Business Development Manager - AC Drives
The OEM Business Development Manager is responsible for delivering the annual sales and marketing plan for Schneider Electric across all end-user market segments.
This role involves developing new client relationships at the CxO level and supporting our existing end-user key account managers and channel partners in strengthening their engagement with target accounts, particularly by fostering CxO-level connections.
This role could be for you if you have:
* Industrial Automation experience, with knowledge of AC Drives
* Knowledge of logistics, HVAC, WWW & MMM
* Strong business acumen to drive consultative selling approach for digital transformation and process modernization utilizing Schneider motion, industrial automation and AC drive solutions.
* Expertise in developing turnkey automation and digital solutions for strategic end users.
* Subject matter expertise in applying Schneider AC drives portfolio.
* Experience in researching trends, conducting trainings, and delivering communications & presentations.
* Proven “hunting” development/consultative experience and strong business relationships within the end-user segment and complete value chain.
Responsibilities:
Your primary focus is Business Development. You will formulate and implement detailed account plans for each strategic target account in your portfolio.
Develop and maintain senior C-level relationships to build a strong pipeline of opportunities and exceed financial targets. Map and support your extended team in your customers’ supply chain, including Contractors, SIs, Panel builders, OEMs, and IT Partners.
* Maintain a list of strategic accounts and develop prospects from these sources.
* Qualify prospects through research and customer interactions, both face-to-face and virtual.
* Create a sub-list of target & active conversion accounts to support Schneider solutions, including machine and system integrators and channel partners.
* Bring in technical resources as needed to evaluate applications or demonstrate products/software.
* Develop the commercial strategy, including pricing, prototyping, and internal resource planning.
* Create strategic revenue plans for consultations, proofs of concept, pilots, and full projects executed by partners.
* Report on market trends, product developments, and launches to relevant teams.
* Leverage relationships within your accounts to identify cross-selling opportunities across Schneider Electric’s portfolio, collaborating with colleagues internally and internationally.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven start-to-finish business development experience with a track record of specification switching, able to work independently and within a matrixed sales and marketing team.
* Passion for digitization, sustainability, technology, and innovation, with an interest in staying updated on market trends and customer challenges.
* Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills, with a drive to succeed in high-profile sales roles.
