Role Overview: As a History Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ knowledge of historical events, critical thinking skills, and understanding of different cultures and time periods. You will contribute to a positive learning environment and support pupils in achieving their academic potential. As a History Teacher, you will: Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons across the History curriculum. Create engaging, inclusive, and stimulating learning experiences. Monitor pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning needs. Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and independent learning. Work collaboratively with colleagues, department heads, and parents to support student development. Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour management, and pupil welfare. Requirements for History Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in History. Excellent classroom management, organisational, and communication skills. Ability to engage and inspire pupils of varying abilities. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
