About the Role
Activate Learning is seeking a dedicated Health and Social Care Teacher eager to share their expertise and contribute to the education of others, teaching on our levels 1-3 Health and Social Care courses.
As a Health and Social Care Teacher, you will collaborate with our teaching team to deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons to a diverse student body. Our modern Care Skills Training Centres at each campus offer students a unique platform to refine their skills for clinical industry placements and future employment opportunities.
You will also have responsibilities as a Study Programme Owner, playing a vital role in supporting students by maintaining communication with families and keeping students engaged in their programmes through regular one-to-one meetings. You will monitor student progress and collaborate closely with subject teachers to ensure they are reaching their full potential.
This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Reading College campus. We would also consider applications from candidates who could only work part-time.
Qualifications and Experience
* Level 3 or above qualification and experience in the Health and Social Care sector is essential
* Extensive experience within the health and social care sector
* It is desirable if you have a teaching qualification and worked within education as a teacher, but this is not essential
* Strong organisational abilities, coupled with effective prioritisation skills, are essential
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to deliver engaging and purposeful lessons to a diverse student body
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons at levels 1-3 Health and Social Care courses.
Collaborate with the teaching team and subject teachers to design curriculum and assessment strategies.
Manage and support the Study Programme as a Study Programme Owner, maintaining communication with families and students through regular one-to-one meetings.
Monitor student progress and keep students engaged in their programmes.
