The Head of Transformation is a key role to enable the sustained rapid growth of Medik8 operations to serve UK and international markets. The role will lead initiatives across Operations and Supply Chain to enable a more efficient, agile, and technologically advanced future.
The role will be responsible for key projects and functional requirements to enable the company’s multi-channel growth strategy. The role also is responsible for the project governance and oversight of other key change projects across the Operations and Supply Chain function. The main Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Logistics operation is based at a single site near Aylesbury, with third party distribution networks operating globally.
The strategic project agenda will be set by periodic review, to support the long term business plan. The role will ensure delivery of high impact projects, and be responsible to support the day to day strengthening of Operational execution.

Responsibilities:
● Lead the business by enabling excellent execution of high profile transformation projects that support sales and profitability growth. Ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and achievement of desired outcomes.
● Line management of a team of four, split equally between transformation leadership (Operations Optimisation, Engineering Project Management) and High impact (Health and Safety, Facilities Management). Total team of approximately fifteen team members.
● Oversee nominated high impact projects such capacity increase plans, Systemisation projects, Cost reduction programme, Global packaging definition and execution.
● Ensure effective business cases, governance and cost control of major capital projects across operations.
● Lead the definition of the asset-improvement capital pipeline, responding to the needs of the business and working with the teams to prioritise spend.
● Scope and tender key projects either directly or through management of team members.
● Define the resourcing required including whether third party support or from within internal groups.
● Oversee the development of our facilities plan to ensure a great place to work.
● Oversee the development of the Health and Safety roadmap to practically minimise the risk of operations and enable safety culture.
● Identify key areas for improvement across the entire value chain, including production processes, supply chain, quality control, maintenance, and facility layout.
● Establish clear project goals, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to track progress and measure the impact of transformation initiatives.
● Oversee the continuous improvement frameworks including plans for systematic improvements and use of tools and review mechanisms.
● Aid the development and management of project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines.
● Mitigate risks and address challenges proactively to ensure smooth project execution.
● Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence throughout the organisation.
● Through the team, drive the standardisation of processes and best practices across all operations processes.
● Collaborate with IT, engineering, and operations teams to identify, select, and implement appropriate technologies.
Requirements:
● Substantial experience as a leader across multiple functions within Operations / Supply Chain. Proven track record of leading significant business change.
● Proactive approach to strengthening the business to drive overall growth and profitability.
● Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
● Structured approach with strong leadership, communication, analytical, and influencing skills.
● Confident in managing internal and external stakeholders and holding teams and suppliers accountable.
● Can do attitude with resilience to drive change in a fast paced environment.
● Demonstrated experience with automation, digital manufacturing, data analytics and enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, MES).
● Highly organized with strong project management capabilities and attention to detail.
● IT literate, with the ability to adopt and leverage new systems and tools effectively.
