An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and detail-oriented Technical Administrator to join a growing business within the chemical or manufacturing sector. This role is ideal for someone with a background in chemistry and a solid understanding of health and safety procedures. Candidates with IOSH certification will be at an advantage. The successful applicant will support both production and management teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations. From conducting audits and managing COSHH documentation to overseeing PPE inventories and coordinating equipment maintenance, this is a varied and hands-on role requiring both administrative precision and technical awareness. Key Responsibilities: Liaise with production and management teams to uphold safety and compliance standards. Conduct compliance inspections, audits, and risk assessments. Organise and maintain COSHH assessments and documentation. Review and update health and safety assessments and ensure certificates are up to date. Maintain safe systems of work and manage MSDS files. Monitor and order PPE stock and ancillary production equipment. Coordinate maintenance support to minimise downtime. Contribute to the development of health and safety policies and procedures. Requirements: Background in Chemistry or a related discipline. Knowledge of health and safety protocols; IOSH certification preferred. Excellent administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail. Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. Strong communication skills for working across multiple departments. Experience with COSHH documentation and safety procedures is desirable.
