About the role
We currently have a vacancy within our Grounds Maintenance Team for a Grounds Operative level 3. The post is a permanent contract based at Penrhos Depot, Llandysul.
The post holder will be responsible for leading a small team charged with maintaining the grass within a pre-set round across various towns and villages across the County. The post holder will be responsible for a 7.5 tonne lorry along with all the associated mowing equipment (Ride on Mower, Brushcutters, Pedestrian Mowers etc).
On a day-to-day basis you will:
1. Carry out all the required daily checks to assigned vehicles and mowing equipment.
2. Operate a large ride on mower.
3. Be required to complete all work-related paperwork either electronically or manually.
4. Be required to work on your own for part or whole days depending on the team’s workload for the week/day.
5. Be expected to work irrespective of the weather conditions.
We are looking to recruit an individual who:
6. Enjoys working in the open air and is accessible to the public.
7. Has a full driving licence full categories B, BE and C1.
8. Has experience of similar physical work.
The post requires a limited degree of fluency in the Welsh language.
