PRACTICE NURSE:
SALARY DEPENDENT ON QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
HOURS: Up to 20 hours per week.
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Carronbank Medical Practice for an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our practice team. We can offer up to 20 hours per week and are flexible and willing to negotiate days and sessions to the right candidate.
Practice Nurse experience is desirable. However we are looking for the right person to fit out team so we are open to consider applications from those with less experience who are willing to undertake relevant training in:
1. Management of long term conditions (diabetes, IHD, hypertension, asthma/COPD etc)
2. Womens health, particularly cervical cytology and contraception
3. Independent nurse prescribing
About us
We provide care for 10,700 patients.
We have 9 GP Partners working between 5 8 sessions/week and 1 salaried GP (2 sessions)
3 Practice Nurses (all independent prescribers)
1 Health Care Support Worker/phlebotomist.
1 Full-time Practice Manager
Full complement of administrative support staff.
Our extended team includes Health Board attached staff, with District Nurses, Health Visitors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Primary Care Mental Health Nurses, Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners, pharmacotherapy and phlebotomy teams.
Our clinical systems are EMIS PCS and Docman. We also carry out asynchronous consultations using eConsult.

Location and Premises
We are based in the town of Denny, situated at the foot of the Carron Valley, in Stirlingshire, Central Scotland. We have excellent transport links, being 30 minutes drive from Glasgow and 50 minutes drive from Edinburgh.
