Overview
Electrical Engineer (Edin)
Location: Edinburgh
Key Responsibilities
* Work under a project leader and be responsible for the electrical services design development in accordance with project objectives.
* Work competently on an independent basis or as part of a wider team and be responsible for reporting to senior staff.
* Communicate directly with clients and other design team members, including attendance at meetings.
* Undertake the preparation on calculations and comprehensive design associated with M&E Building installations.
* Manage your own workload and support a team of technicians to suit project deadlines and requirements.
* Prepare concept and preliminary engineering solutions for design.
* Prepare technical reports, documents and specifications.
* Establish and maintain a good working relationship with other design team members.
* Be actively involved in compliance with RSP Business Management Systems.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with electrical services design on a varying range of projects.
* Good and confident communication skills.
* Knowledge and understanding of relevant industry design software (i.e. NBS, Bentley Hevacomp, Amtech, Dialux or similar).
* AutoCAD and Revit Experience.
Requirements
* Preferably working towards being or Degree qualified and working towards IET/CIBSE membership.
* 5 years + relevant experience.
* Valid UK Driving Licence.
* Willingness to do overtime, when and if required.
* Must be prepared to travel within the UK. This may involve early morning starts, late finishes and occasionally overnight stays.
