Procurement Manager roles at TGJones (Swindon Support Centre) – 6-month Fixed Term Contract. Hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office.
About the role
We’re seeking 2 experienced Procurement Managers for a 6-month Fixed Term Contract to join our Procurement team, based at our Support Centre in Swindon. The roles are to support strategic and tactical procurement activities across TGJones. These roles are critical to driving value, optimising supplier relationships, and delivering commercial outcomes across a range of indirect categories. We are seeking one IT expert and one generalist. Key accountabilities will include:
* Supporting strategic and tactical procurement activities across TGJones, with a focus on separating and managing key contracts—particularly IT-related—during the TSA period
* Leading or supporting tender processes (RFI/RFP), drafting contracts, and negotiating to deliver commercial outcomes across a range of indirect categories
* Collaborating closely with stakeholders and budget holders, aligning procurement strategies with business goals and ensuring timely, effective delivery
* Driving supplier rationalisation, improving value, and managing key supplier relationships to optimise performance and reduce risk
* Managing category spend, leading small to medium-sized projects, and contributing to cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
* Providing commercial and contractual expertise across the business, with the IT role specifically bringing additional depth in technology sourcing and vendor management
About you

* At least 5 years of procurement experience, ideally across indirect categories (goods and services); CIPS qualifications are welcomed but not essential
* Ability to demonstrate strong commercial acumen with proven skills in negotiation, contract drafting, and a solid understanding of Contract Law
* Communicating effectively, both written and verbal, and confidently influencing stakeholders at all levels
* Building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships to support collaborative working
* Managing workloads effectively under pressure, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) at an intermediate to advanced level
