SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Middlesbrough, North East
Salary: £85 – £110 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
GSL Education are seeking caring and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities in schools across Middlesbrough. This is a rewarding role for individuals passionate about inclusion and supporting pupils to reach their full potential.
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.
* Support children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
* Assist the class teacher with differentiated lesson delivery.
* Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
* Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable).
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
