You will work between police custody and criminal courts.Youwill assess,adviseand refer offenders,providingthem the opportunity to access treatment to address their substance use. Working with the courts, you will promote the use of Community Sentence Treatment Requirements ( Drug Rehabilitations Requirements and Alcohol Treatment Requirements ) amongst all court professionals and the judiciary, contributingtoPre SentenceReports and advocate for our service users. You willbe responsible fordelivering all elements of substance use work includingassertive engagement, harm reductionsupport (includingnaloxoneprovision),as well as other associated duties. Youneed tohave an understanding ofthe issues faced bypeople who use drugs and alcohol, andwho commit crime,and be dedicated to delivering a service that supports these individuals tomake positive changes totheirbehaviour,healthand well-being.
