Job Description
The Electo-Optical System Engineer will be responsible for:
1. Oversee complex technical initiatives, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and timely achievement of milestones.
2. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, focusing on critical paths necessary to meet program goals.
3. Act as the primary technical authority, collaborating with interdisciplinary engineering teams to drive project success.
4. Serve as the main technical liaison between clients and our organization, ensuring effective communication and alignment of objectives.
5. Uphold stringent quality standards throughout the program lifecycle, spanning from research and development to production.
6. Provide regular internal updates to management on program status, while meeting external reporting requirements stipulated by clients.
7. Contribute to proposal development efforts by offering both programmatic and technical insights to enhance competitiveness.

The Successful Applicant
The successful Senior Optical System Engineer will have what follows:
8. Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Optical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related scientific/engineering discipline, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on involvement in complex electro-optical systems tailored for military applications.
9. Prior exposure to laser systems, night vision/imaging systems, and target location systems would be advantageous.
10. Demonstrated proficiency in system integration and testing, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
11. Exhibit a knack for innovative thinking, coupled with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
12. Display robust leadership qualities and a motivational demeanor, essential for steering both oneself and the team towards the successful achievement of program objectives.
13. Possess proactive data analysis skills to evaluate metrics effectively, facilitating well-informed decision-making processes within programs.
14. Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
15. Showcase outstanding organizational capabilities, with a proven ability to engage effectively with customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders alike.
