To lead the design, development, and implementation of software development programmes, ensuring they meet business requirements and are scalable, maintainable, and reliable. You must be able to obtain the Government and/or Police Security levels required in order to meet the operational requirements of the role (no caveats) and as per the requirements stipulated in relevant customer contracts. Key responsibilities: Lead the architectural design of software applications Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements Oversee the development and implementation of application solutions Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices Mentor and guide developers Ensure applications are scalable, maintainable, and secure Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies Provide technical leadership and direction to the development team including ensuring they are developed in accordance with SCC’s performance development programmes and external qualifications Develop and maintain architectural documentation Ensure applications meet performance, reliability and governance standards Skills and experience: Demonstrable experience in application architecture Proficiency in multiple programming languages Strong understanding of software development methodologies Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Must be able to obtain the Government and/or Police Security levels required in order to meet the operational requirements of the role (no caveats) and as per the requirements stipulated in relevant customer contracts.
