This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on H&S professional looking to build experience within a structured safety function and contribute to a strong, positive safety culture. This role will suit someone who enjoys being visible on site, supporting continuous improvement, and working closely with operational teams to ensure a safe and compliant working environment. You will Support the Health & Safety Manager with audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring corrective actions are tracked and closed out. Assist with the recording, investigation, and reporting of accidents and near misses, maintaining accurate and timely documentation. Deliver Health & Safety inductions and support ongoing training initiatives, including toolbox talks. Monitor compliance across office and production environments, supporting the safety of employees, visitors, and contractors. Coordinate office-based safety activities including fire drills, first aid, and fire warden duties. Support the creation, review, and maintenance of SOPs and integrated management system documentation. Assist during third-party audits and accreditations, ensuring contractor and haulier records are complete and compliant. Support compliance related to company vehicles and mobile plant, including forklifts and site transport. Attend Health & Safety meetings, record minutes, and follow up on agreed actions. Actively promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across the business. Criteria; Proactive and hands-on, with a genuine interest in health & safety legislation and best practice. Confident communicator, able to engage positively with employees at all levels. Willing to raise concerns and challenge unsafe practices appropriately. The ideal candidate will come with some experience working within H&S in Manufacturing.
