Join Our Team – Employer Engagement Roles
Are you passionate about helping people into work and supporting inclusive economic growth? Devon County Council is looking for enthusiastic and driven individuals to join our Economy and Skills Service and support delivery of the Connect to Work service in Devon. Connect to Work is a comprehensive employment support programme designed to help individuals overcome barriers to employment, develop skills, and access meaningful job opportunities.
Employer Engagement Officers x 4 (1 each covering North, South, East and West of the County)
As part of the Connect to Work programme, you’ll work directly with employers across Devon and Torbay to create high-quality job, apprenticeship, and work experience opportunities. You’ll build strong relationships, promote inclusive employment, and help shape the future of workforce development.
Responsibilities
* Engage with employers to secure job opportunities and guaranteed interviews.
* Promote supported employment pathways and inclusive recruitment practices.
* Represent the Council at business events and employment fairs.
* Lead local employer forums and contribute to strategic planning.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Experience in employer engagement, recruitment, or economic development.
* Knowledge of inclusive employment and the challenges faced by job seekers.
* Confident using digital tools and social media for outreach.
