Role Overview
One of my local goverment clients is seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator to support maintenance and improvement works across council-owned properties and facilities. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling, and priming.
* Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
* Ensure work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Work both independently and as part of a team across different sites in the borough.
Requirements
* Proven experience in painting and decorating (ideally within a local authority or public sector environment).
* Full UK driving license (desirable).
* Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines.
* Commitment to health and safety best practices.
