Do you have a strong presence and a passion for supporting young people with behavioural needs? Secondary schools across Oldham are seeking Behaviour Support Mentors to join their inclusion teams from September 2025, with opportunities for earlier starts.
Working as part of a dedicated pastoral team, you’ll play a crucial role in helping students stay engaged with their learning and develop strategies to manage their behaviour more effectively.
Responsibilities include:
* Building positive relationships with students
* Delivering one-to-one or small group interventions
* Working with staff and families to create support plans
* Supporting classroom routines and transitions
You’ll need:
* A calm, confident, and empathetic nature
* The ability to de-escalate challenging situations
* Experience in a similar setting (schools, youth work, mentoring)
