We are working with the systematic trading arm of a global banking organisation looking to hire a Quant Developer (C++ e-Trading) for their London-based team. This role sits at the core of the business, building and optimising low-latency trading and market making systems that directly drive revenue.
The Role
You will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance electronic trading and market making infrastructure, working closely with traders and quantitative researchers to deliver real-time, production-grade systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and optimise low-latency C++ trading systems
* Build and enhance e-Trading and market making platforms (pricing, quoting, execution)
* Work with real-time market data (L2/order book)
* Implement and optimise automated market making strategies
* Collaborate with traders and quants to deploy models into production
* Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability
Requirements
* Strong experience in C++ (modern C++ preferred: C++17/20)
* Proven experience in e-Trading, electronic markets, or market making environments
* Solid understanding of low-latency system design and optimisation
* Experience working with market data feeds and order execution systems
* Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and multithreading
Nice to Have
* Experience with Python for research or tooling
* Knowledge of equities, FX, or derivatives markets
* Familiarity with Linux, networking, and performance tuning
