Business Development Manager – Technical Sales 📍 Location: Hybrid – Milton Keynes 2x/week + UK-wide travel
💷 Salary: £55,000 + 20% Bonus + Car Allowance or Company Car

We are a global leader in the design and manufacture of special purpose machinery and process equipment for a variety of industries including chemical, pharmaceutical, dairy, food, beverage, oil & gas and many more. With a robust order book and new product launches in the pipeline, we are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth and long-term client partnerships across the UK.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Develop and execute go-to-market and account growth strategies with senior leadership
Identify, research, and qualify new leads using market intelligence tools and platforms
Conduct strategic outreach and support early-stage customer engagement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, customer success) to optimise conversion and retention
Report on sales pipeline activity, lead quality, and market insights to inform business planning
Support account segmentation, customer health tracking, and upsell/cross-sell strategies
What We’re Looking For:
Strong technical/mechanical engineering background (not necessarily in machinery)
5+ years' experience in business development, technical sales, or a related role
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market data into actionable plans
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and market research platforms
Must be commutable to Milton Keynes 2x per week and flexible to travel for customer visits
