Are you an experienced Youth Worker seeking a new opportunity helping support hard-to-reach youth groups? We are pleased to offer a one-year fixed-term Youth Worker role, on a full time basis within CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services), to support a Health Inequalities project. You will help explore the causes and barriers preventing certain groups from accessing our services and identify ways to improve access for hard-to-reach groups, including boys, ethnic minorities, Roma communities, the global majority, and young people out of education. We are particularly concerned that mental health issues and trauma may be overlooked in adolescent boys, who are more often referred to drug and alcohol or youth justice services. The project aims to collect data on access obstacles and trial pilot projects to boost engagement from underrepresented groups. You will also audit the representation of diverse children and young people across BaNES, Swindon, and Wiltshire (BSW). You will work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and those of the communities served.
