Role

Due to continued growth within our Construction Department, we are looking to appoint Full & Part Time Lecturers in Carpentry & Joinery to join us from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a developing curriculum area, helping to shape provision and inspire the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

Key Responsibilities

* Teach a range of courses as assigned, ensuring that every student receives the guidance they need to succeed.
* Implement effective feedback and assessment systems to monitor learning progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
* Uphold the standards of our Quality Assurance framework. Manage course administration and organisation as needed.
* Contribute to innovative curriculum development and implementation.
* Maintain a professional and motivating learning environment, applying effective behaviour management practices.
* Continuously develop your teaching skills for the benefit of student outcomes.


Essential Criteria

* Possess a minimum of a relevant Level 3 vocational qualification.
* Track record of successful teaching experience across a range of levels, including up to level 3.
* Recent industry-related experience relevant to the academic discipline.
* Detailed knowledge of relevant course subject matter and examination and assessment requirements.
* Understanding of value added and the use of progress performance measures.
* Experience in developing and maintaining external partnerships to enrich teaching and learning.
* Ability to inspire, motivate and raise the aspirations of learners through high-quality teaching.
