Echocardiographer Registered - Sign on Bonus Eligible
Perform daily clinical operations of the Echocardiography Lab, including performing Transthoracic and Transesophageal Echocardiograms, Contrast Studies using Definity, Bubble Studies, Stress Echocardiograms, and Chemical Stress Echocardiograms. This also includes preliminary interpretation of studies, assessing ventricular performance, and assisting during transesophageal procedures. The sonographer will utilize 2D, M-Mode, and Doppler techniques to evaluate and record anatomical, pathological, and functional data to aid diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include patient assessment, procedure planning, setup, and ensuring quality images.
Responsibilities:
* Explain procedures and answer patient questions to ensure comfort.
* Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms independently, recognizing abnormalities and notifying the Cardiologist as needed. Administer contrast agents like Definity after passing competency training, and report adverse reactions.
* Download, prepare, and document echocardiograms for review. Maintain records and complete billing.
* Participate in quality improvement activities, attend conferences, and ensure continuing education and accreditation standards are met.
* Foster a collaborative work environment.
* Maintain inventory of supplies to ensure continuous service.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Training from a Cardiovascular program required.
* Minimum of three years practical experience or equivalent.
* RDMS or RCS certification required.
