Position: Domestic Assistant
Contract Type: Temporary Ongoing (Temp to Perm opportunities available)
Start Date: ASAP
Shift Patterns: 30 hours – Weekdays – 16:30 – 23:00
Location: Norfolk & Norwich Hospital
Responsibilities
* Clinical cleaning within a rapid response team in both clinical and non-clinical areas, ensuring hospitals and health centres are suitable for patient care and infection control.
* Perform deep cleaning and routine tasks as required, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising bathrooms and patient areas.
* Dispose of different types of waste.
* Clean clinical and non-clinical areas such as wards, toilets, corridors, and waiting areas.
* Conduct scheduled deep cleans in isolation rooms and high-risk areas.
* Use approved cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
* Follow strict cleaning protocols in line with infection prevention guidelines.
* Apply barrier cleaning techniques and understand zoning principles.
* Ensure high-touch surfaces are cleaned regularly and thoroughly.
* Utilise colour-coded cleaning materials to prevent cross-contamination.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous Domestic/Cleaning experience desirable.
* A positive attitude and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment.
* Attention to detail and an ability to follow strict protocols.
* Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
* Flexibility to work part-time hours as required.
