We are seeking a Finance Administrator to join our Finance team based in our Newcastle Head Office.
Main Accountabilities:
* Sales Invoices and Credit Control
* Contribute to the effective running of the finance department
* Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on a range of financial matters
* Proactively oversee financial compliance activities, adhering strictly to organisational policies.
Key Tasks:
* Invoicing - Generate and send accurate, timely invoices to commissioners and clients
* Cross-check service delivery records to ensure invoice accuracy
* Apply additional charges or credits where applicable
* Financial Support - Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up for remittance
* Maintain up-to-date records for audits and reporting
* Customer Service - Communicate with commissioners, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve queries
* Deliver excellent customer support and uphold Nudge’s professional values
* General Administration - Manage finance-related emails and digital filing systems
Requirements:
* Technical Skills- High proficiency with Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel
* Experience with XERO, Sage or similar
* Strong data entry accuracy and ability to handle numerical information
* Communication - Clear, sensitive communication with various stakeholders
* Ability to maintain professionalism while discussing financial matters
* Attention to Detail - Excellent memory for customer-specific requirements
* Diligent in identifying and correcting errors
* Organisation & Problem Solving - Track, file, and retrieve financial documentation
* effectively Prioritise tasks in a busy, deadline- driven environment
* Values Alignment - Understanding of (or willingness to learn about) education and SEND contexts
* A team player who aligns with Nudge’s mission of supporting vulnerable young people
* Strong knowledge of spreadsheet software such as Google Sheets & Microsoft Excel
* Understanding of basic financial functions such as invoicing and expense reporting
* Usage of accounting software such as XER

Key details of the role:
* Location: Head Office, Newcastle-upon-Tyne
* Salary: £22,500-£26,500 (pro-rata)
* Hours of work: 24 hours per week
* Contract duration: 14 months (Maternity cover)
* Reporting to: Finance Lead
