Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and pragmatic Cybersecurity Manager to lead a team of analysts in delivering effective cyber and information security operations. This is a key leadership role focused primarily on business-as-usual (BAU) activities, with some involvement in project delivery.
The role sits between strategic oversight and hands-on technical work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys managing people and processes while maintaining a strong grasp of operational security.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and support a team of cybersecurity analysts, ensuring high performance and professional development.
2. Oversee day-to-day security operations, including monitoring, incident response, and threat management.
3. Act as an escalation point forplex incidents and coordinate appropriate response and remediation.
4. Support the delivery of security-related projects, ensuring alignment with operational priorities.
5. Maintain and enhance security policies, procedures, and standards in line with best practice andpliance requirements.
6. Conduct risk assessments and support the management of cyber and information security risks.
7. Ensurepliance with relevant frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and Cyber Essentials.
8. Collaborate with IT,pliance, and business stakeholders to embed security into systems and processes.
What you'll need to succeed
9. Relevant cybersecurity qualifications ( CISSP, CISM,pTIA Security+, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor).
10. Demonstrable experience in a cyber/information security leadership or senior analyst role (in a public sector environment is a bonus)
11. Strong understanding of security operations, incident response, and risk management.
12. Experience developing and maintaining security policies and procedures.
13. Excellentmunication and stakeholder engagement skills.
