Are you a level 3 qualified college student looking to fast track your career as a Vehicle Technician in a franchised dealer environment with one of the UK's largest automotive groups? Our well-known Citroen York is performing exceptionally well, and we are seeking our next talented individual. As a future Technician, you will be mentored by top Citroen-trained Vehicle Technicians and work alongside an experienced franchise Service Leader. You will benefit from manufacturer training, a positive atmosphere, and ample support to keep you engaged and productive.
We welcome applications from level 3 qualified students with aspirations, eagerness to learn, and the motivation to become a fully qualified Vehicle Technician within 6 to 18 months. We will provide all necessary support, tools, guidance, and training to achieve this goal.
What you can expect from this role and programme:
1. A dedicated mentor to work with and shadow daily, honing your skills
2. An in-depth practical assessment programme with regular reviews to monitor progress
3. Utilising your mechanical knowledge to carry out repairs and maintenance, including clutch and cam belt replacements
4. Developing the ability to service and maintain vehicles, from brake pads and tyres to oil and filter checks
5. A strong desire to learn and absorb all skills needed to become a Vehicle Technician
6. Motivation, a positive attitude, and a drive to succeed
7. Organisational skills to meet assessment deadlines and workloads
8. Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
9. Confidence in using workshop equipment
