Location: Bedford
Salary: £45,000 DOE + Benefits

The Role:
The Supply Chain Manager will take ownership of group-wide procurement and supply chain strategies covering materials, components, and subcontract services, with a focus on post-acquisition integration and cost optimisation.
You will develop and implement a cohesive procurement/supply chain strategy, create group frameworks, and ensure that each business unit benefits from improved terms, consistency, and supply resilience.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and rollout of a group-wide supply chain and procurement strategy across multiple acquired businesses.
* Identify and deliver commercial opportunities through consolidation, volume leverage, and supplier rationalisation.
* Negotiate contracts and framework agreements to secure best value while maintaining quality and service.
* Partner with leadership, engineering, projects, and finance teams to align procurement with commercial and operational goals.
* Implement common processes, KPIs, and governance to bring consistency and control to procurement activity.
* Provide commercial insight and reporting to support senior decision-making and ongoing integration plans.
Your Background:
* Strong procurement or supply chain background within mechanical, industrial, or engineering environments.
* Demonstrable commercial awareness, with a track record of driving cost savings and improving margins.
* Experience working across multi-site or group structures, ideally including integration or change.
* Confident negotiator with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior leaders.
* Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on in a growing, evolving environment.
* CIPS (qualified or studying) is advantageous but not essential.
