The post holder will manage relationships with industry partners, focusing on expanding our commercial research portfolio as a site, as well as developing The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust's Investigator-led Trials portfolio.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Research Industry Relationship Manager is a senior member of The Royal Marsden's Clinical Research Directorate and part of the senior research delivery team. The role supports the ongoing partnership between The Royal Marsden and industry partners, working from a site perspective and when collaborating on Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs).
The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in communicating with senior stakeholders across The Royal Marsden and industry. They will have the ability to project manage research initiatives efficiently and realize benefits for all involved.

Job description
Job responsibilities:
* Work closely with industry partners to ensure high-quality secretariat support for meetings between The Royal Marsden and industry partners, including Portfolio Review, Scientific Exchange, Operational Review, Portfolio Delivery, and Capabilities Assessment meetings.
* Provide secretariat support for clinical research committee meetings for The Royal Marsden and industry partners.
* Liaise with the Head of Clinical Research Delivery and industry partners to develop agendas and prepare papers.
Person Specification:
Education/Qualifications:
* Essential: Degree (e.g., BA/BSc) in a relevant subject or equivalent experience; commitment to professional development.
* Desirable: Higher degree (e.g., MA/MSc), project management qualification, experience in oncology.
Experience:
* Essential: High-level committee secretariat support, minute-taking for senior leadership, development of tracking systems, project delivery, independent decision-making, effective communication with senior staff.
* Desirable: Customer service culture, cross-organizational partnership experience.
Skills/Knowledge:
* Proven team leadership, problem-solving, excellent communication and influencing skills, initiative, prioritization, high literacy and numeracy, team working, IT proficiency, resilience.
