Head of Department - Court of Protection
Location: Southport/Manchester/Liverpool/Leeds/Hybrid
The role will be hybrid with visits to all office locations. The main responsibility is to lead and develop the Court of Protection & Private Client team to meet client needs and implement Fletchers’ strategies.

Main Responsibilities:
* Ensure excellent client service and achievement of performance targets
* Manage client cases in compliance with external supervision
* Provide inspirational leadership, including recruitment, motivation, and training
* Implement departmental plans aligned with company growth
* Support budgeting and financial reporting for the department
* Lead operational needs and manage key metrics
* Coach and develop managers and team members
* Handle a reduced caseload (~25%) with varied technicality
* Liaise with clients, experts, barristers, and other stakeholders
* Manage all aspects of trust and deputyship matters
* Ensure timely completion of actions, accurate time recording, and maintain client files according to quality standards
* Delegate tasks to junior team members

Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Solicitor eligible to be appointed as a Director of the Trust Corporation
* Experience leading a Court of Protection team
* Experience managing Deputyship and Trust matters
* Strong client service and team productivity skills
* Proven coaching and stakeholder relationship skills
* Leadership role modeling and technological proficiency
* Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
