£60,000 - £70,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Eaton Syalon are exclusively supporting the appointment of a commercially focused Head of Finance / Financial Controller on behalf of a successful SME business operating within a growing private equity-backed group.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established SME that has built an excellent reputation within its sector and is now entering the next phase of its growth journey, supported by the backing of a larger group committed to both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, with a dotted line into the Group CFO, this role will play a key part in shaping commercial decision-making, driving financial performance and providing the leadership team with the insight required to support ambitious growth plans.
This is far more than a traditional financial reporting role.
We are seeking a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys partnering with operational stakeholders, influencing business decisions and helping leadership teams navigate growth, change and opportunity.
The Opportunity
Working closely with both local and group leadership teams, you will:
* Lead all aspects of financial management and reporting for the business
* Act as a trusted business partner to the Managing Director and wider leadership team
* Provide meaningful commercial insight to support decision making and profitability
* Drive budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management activities
* Develop financial controls, reporting processes and management information
* Support business planning, growth initiatives and strategic projects
* Deliver accurate month-end and year-end reporting
* Work closely with the Group Finance function to ensure consistency and best practice
* Identify opportunities for operational and financial improvement across the business
* Help prepare the business for future growth and integration opportunities
About You
We're interested in speaking with individuals who can demonstrate:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Experience operating within a fast moving SME environment
Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders
A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to remain close to the detail when required
Experience partnering with operational and non-finance leaders
Strong financial reporting, forecasting and business planning capability
The ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day delivery
