Clinical Roles - Clinical Psychologist - Canterbury
To provide a specialist psychological assessment and therapy service. To offer advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to colleagues and to other, non-professional carers. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of Psicon's policies and procedures.
Main duties of the job
Clinical Responsibilities
* Assessment and treatment of children, young people, and/or families with mental health conditions and/or neurodevelopmental conditions.
* Carry out therapeutic work with children, young people, and families using various therapeutic models, including CBT, Systemic, and Psycho-dynamic approaches.
* Conduct therapeutic work with adoptive families and families under special guardianship orders, including therapeutic parenting, individual therapy, and family work.
Management responsibilities
* Act as a core member of the Child, Young People, and Family Service at Psicon.
* Support and drive change and service development by designing and implementing clinical processes to ensure governance and risk management standards are maintained.
* Assist the Psicon Clinical Leadership Team in developing and maintaining clinical standards across services, including supervision of associates and Assistant Psychologists.

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience in psychological interventions and assessments for children, young people, and families.
* Experience supporting clients with complex presentations, including dual diagnoses.
* Ability to exercise autonomous professional responsibility.
Additional Requirements
* Attend regular supervision and contribute to training initiatives.
* Complete mandatory and safeguarding training.
* Participate in CPD and maintain professional standards and record keeping.
