Position: Project Manager/ Senior Project Manger
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 per annum + Car allowance + Package
Contract Type: temp - perm available (to get started quickly if needed)
Start date: Immediately available
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to join a team and lead the successful planning and execution of new build commercial projects. This is a key role within the organisation, offering the opportunity to manage high-profile developments from pre-construction through to handover.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage construction projects across the commercial sector. Predominantly, steel frame and cut & calve projects from inception to completion.
* Develop project programmes, manage site activities, and coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
* Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with safety, quality, and compliance standards.
* Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports for clients and senior management.
* Lead stakeholder engagement, including clients, local authorities, and regulatory bodies.
* Manage project budgets, procurement, and contract administration.
* Contribute to risk assessments, method statements, and Health & Safety compliance processes.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of delivering medium to large-scale commercial projects.
* Experience in steel structure, cut and calve projects.
* Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Professional certifications such as MCIOB or equivalent are desirable.
* Strong understanding of UK building regulations, and construction contracts.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and lead multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment.
