Joe Court Forestry Ltd is a family‑run business established in 2005. Based near Hascombe, Surrey, we are a growing forestry company offering all aspects of woodland management. Our dedicated operational team focuses on high customer service and provides a full range of forestry services supported by a growing woodland consultancy department. We work with all elements of the forestry industry – woodland owners, forest management companies, local governments, and public bodies. The Role
Due to the continued expansion and development of the woodland management side of the company, we are looking for a Forest Manager to work alongside the current consultancy team on a number of existing projects. This role would suit a forestry graduate or someone on the pathway to become a chartered forester. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong abilities to work with key stakeholders, be highly adept in writing Woodland Management Plans and bringing them to fruition. They must be highly motivated, educated to degree level or comparable industry experience, and passionate about their work.
Responsibilities
* Client management of an existing portfolio of woodlands, overseeing all aspects of woodland management such as writing WMPs, conducting woodland surveys, grant applications and felling licences, and day‑to‑day relationship management with clients.
* Work closely with leadership and operational teams to implement harvesting work and forestry projects, enabling you to oversee a project from start to finish.
Employment & Compensation
The role is full‑time and permanent based out of our head office in the South of England with potential for flexible home working. Hours are 45 hours a week. Full UK driving licence is essential. Salary: £32,000 – £46,000 depending on experience.
